That's cruelty I says! In um, the best possible way.
The ending was so unexpected, as I was reading I noticed that it was coming to an end and I kept thinking ZOMG HOW IS SHE GOING TO B/A FOREVER HOT MAKE UP SEX THIS IN SO LITTLE TIME AAAHHHH *head spins*. Then again, it makes it so much more poignant when it's not. Despite all the hot sex and foreverness that we all want for them so badly...we just know that the chances of that are so slim (if they were even given one at all...).
Only he never had That hurts so good.
So despite the unexpectedness...it was exactly the way it SHOULD have ended. It was fantastic.
Also I love the fact that you skipped the "Angel has a son?!" ordeal. I mean there's a time and a place....and a lot of people still do it so so wrong. (If it can't be done right, I'd rather they didn't at all).
Another I enjoyed was the Dawn-Faith-Buffy interaction, the whole sisterly love. Faith and Dawn would really have gotten along, and I really think they would have in S3, and I think Dawn would have felt every bit as betrayed as Buffy did. Although (From what we've seen) they've had radically different experiences with Buffy (....arguably the same since she was "there" in S3...but whatev), they understand her on a level so different from everyone else. And post NFA/Chosen Dawn is so interesting to me because I think she has the potential to be a great character...and a lot more important/significant figure in Buffy's life (than just lil sister/daughter/key).
And I'm babbling...
In short, thank you for ripping out my heart, throwing it on the floor, then stomping it with your foot.
JERK! (now make me some hot sex :P I shall reciprocate with iconses!)
