This is so beautiful and so sad. You really feel Angel's almost childlike state. And yet, even with that, his connection to Buffy remains.
The question is are the good things he's done, the joys he's experienced worth the agony of knowing the evil he brought to the world. And exactly why is Buffy going to bring back his memories (assuming she does). It could easily be seen as the most selfish thing she's ever done.
A fascinating dilemma at the end.
One small complaint. While it's certainly true The Rolling Stones did a cover of "Not Fade Away", the song was written and originally recorded by Buddy Holly. I have this weird kink where I feel the original artist should always be listed (along with the covering artist, if desired.) especially when they wrote the song.
