I read through a lot of your stories on your website (I'm shit with commenting when it's not on livejournal, my apologies) and your imagery is so gorgeous. I can see why you're published! I just started watching BtVs over winter break this past year, and fell pretty hard for the show and for Buffy/Angel.
It's really great that you volunteer in clinics and for Planned Parenthood. My dog Jack is the worlds cutest dog, but yours might be a close second :D. He's a five-year old golden retriever and the thing I miss most when I'm at school.
I've been to Italy! Rome, Pompeii and Florence. It was incredible, and I loved it. I was there for a week my junior year of high school. I don't think I could ever live there, mainly because I'm a Chicagoan and it'd take a lot for me to slow down to the pace of life there, but I want to visit again sometime. I'm half-decent at Spanish, and spoke it a lot when I was in Italy. They understood the gist of what I was saying a lot of the time, but I couldn't get what they'd say back. One time, this hot Italian boy told me in perfect English, "you know you're speaking Spanish, not Italian, right?". It was a little embarrassing.
Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoy my stories, and I always love hearing that. Writers are very vain.
I am seriously lazy about updating it, though; the newest stuff's in my journal, under the story posts tag.
Here's my guy. His name is Oz and he's a hybrid, and I'm so glad to be able to have him at school; I moved off campus just so I could have him live with me.
I've never been to Rome, or anywhere outside the country because neither I nor my family has ever had any extra money lying around, but I'm thinking of teaching English as a foreign language in Italy when I graduate, so I can get better at speaking Italian. For the past couple years I've been meaning to learn Spanish, but it's never really been an intensive thing; I get sidetracked. I'm super jealous of anyone who's truly bilingual, though, because it's such a challenge for me.
